Requirements:
In order to resister with Dubai Municipality before importing or re-exporting any product, the documents required for submission are:
  • Company trade license
  • Company’s email address
  • Company’s telephone, fax and P.O. Box Number
  • Company’s location details in Dubai
  • Name of Company’s representative and mobile number
Procedure: 1.Formation of new company: The first requirement for product registration is a UAE based company because any product registration can only be done under a UAE based company. It can be a Dubai LLC or Free zone company. It should have general trading license.
2.Registration of the company with Dubai municipality: After the company has been set up, the next step is to register the company with Dubai Municipality. This is a lengthy process as the documents should be submitted to Dubai municipality with proper information.
3.Apply for label assessment: Once the company has been set up, a sample of the product should be sent to the Dubai municipality along with the product label which is also called artwork.
4.Product Label: The label must comply with the regulations of Dubai Municipality and provide typical information. There are certain requirements for the label which should be fulfilled before submission.

What is Saber? Saber is an electronic system that connects traders and importers to product conformity certification bodies that are accredited by Saudi Customs and regulatory bodies "saber certification". Saber helps speed up handling of shipments, eliminate counterfeit consumer goods, track products more easily and increase the number of products approved by the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) in the Saudi market.

Procedure:
  • Create an account for your company on SABER where you will have the required help for account management.
  • Register your products in SABER electronic system and enter all related technical data for each product, whether it is subject to technical regulations or not.
  • Classify the customs code of each product.
  • Identify one of the authorized notified bodies for conformity assessment via SABER electronic system.
  • Following up issuing the corresponding certificate.
  • Once the product conformity certificate (COC) is obtained, you can request a shipping certificate via SABER electronic system that will be sent to the Saudi Customs Authorities with each consignment to complete the clearance of the product to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
